Il sistema delle Categorie in questo Wiki
I. Come funziona
Questo wiki usa un sistema flessibile e semplice per organizzare le pagine wiki per categoria. La lista principale di tutte le categorie è Category Category che elencherà automaticamente tutte le categorie principali presenti nel wiki. Questa lista è facilmente richiamabile dalla barra superiore di navigazione del Wiki "Categorie".
II. Come creare una nuova Categoria
Le Categorie sono delle normali pagine wiki con due sole differenze:
- il nome della pagina deve iniziare con "Category", come CategoryWiki, CategoryDocumentazione, Category Utenti, e
- deve contenere da qualche parte all'interno della pagina {{category}}.
Esempio:Vuoi creare una "Category Sport" in questo wiki? Semplice. Crea una pagina con questo nome (senza spazi es. CategorySport). E' buona idea inserire all'interno di questa pagina alcune informazioni come la descrizione della categoria, a cosa serve, ecc,). La cosa necessaria è che al suo interno, in qualunque parte della pagina, ci sia il codice {{category}}, perché questo renderrà visibile le pagine di questa categoria.
III. Uso delle Categorie
Mensionare una categoria dovunque in una pagina fa si che quella pagina sia inclusa in quella categoria. Fare questo è semplice:
- aggiungere una pagina ad una categoria: scrivere il nome della categoria in un posto qualunque della pagina. Convenzionalmente lo si colloca in fondo alla pagina. Vedi il punto V);
- Esempio: CategoryWiki, CategoryDocumentazione. Nota che queste due sono le uniche categorie in cui desideriamo inserire questa pagina!;
- rimuovere una pagina da una categoria: rimuovere o mascherare le categorie presenti in una pagina.
- Esempio: Category Utenti. Questa pagina non sarà mostrata perchè per essere trovato il nome, deve essere "scritto insieme" su questa pagina e cioè in questo modo: Category Utenti.
- spostare una pagina da una categoria ad un'altra: ricopiare tutte le occorrenze del vecchio nome della (categoria) con il nuovo.
Poiché le categorie sono pagine wiki, le procedure di cui sopra sono volide anche per loro. Questo ha consentito di essere usato per generare una gerarchia delle categorie.
Esempio: Per fare CategoryDocumentazione una sottocategoria di "Category Category", aggiungi semplicemente il nome della sottocategoria (senza lo spazio) alla pagina precedente. Se sostituisci la "Category Category" con CategoryWiki, la "CategoryDocumentazione" diverrà a sua volta una sottocategoria di CategoryWiki. Se rimuovi CategoryWiki, la "CategoryDocumentazione" non avrà una categoria superiore.
IV. Visualizza Categorie
Puoi accedere direttamente a "Category Category" cliccando sul menu di navigazione superiore su "Categoria".
Lo scopo principale di questa categoria è quello di fungere da genitore di tutte le altre categorie.
V. Convenzione standard per disporre le categorie
Convenzionalmente si colloca alla fine della pagina sia il codice wiki che il risultato.

- Each category has a WikiName name of the form CategoryName for example CategoryWiki etc. (see list of maincategories above)
- Pages can belong to zero or more categories. Including a page in a category is done by simply mentioning the CategoryName on the page (by convention at the very end of the page).
- The system allows to build hierarchies of categories by referring to the parent category in the subcategory page. The parent category page will then automatically include the subcategory page in its list.
- A special kind of category is Category Users (without the space) to group the userpages, so your Wiki homepage should include it at the end to be included in the category-driven userlist.
- New categories can be created (think very hard before doing this though, we don't need too much of them) by creating a CategoryName page, including {{Category}} in it and placing it in the Category Category (without the space) category (for a main category or another parent category in case you want to create a subcategory).
Please help to keep this place organized by including the relevant categories in new and existing pages !

- The above bold items above include spaces to prevent this page from showing up in the mentioned categories. This page only belongs in CategoryWiki (which can be safely mentioned) after all !
- In order to avoid accidental miscategorization you should avoid mentioning a non-related CategoryName on a page. This is a side-effect of how the categorizing system works: it's based on a textsearch and is not restricted to the footer convention.
- Don't be put of by the name of this page (WikiCategory) which is a logical name (it's about the Wiki and explains Category) but doesn't have any special role in the Categorizing system.
